Description
Surakarta is about beating all the opposing pawns, but you can only do this if you have at least made a circle run. Only those who have previously made such a change of course may strike. At the beginning of the game, the 12 game pieces are on outer sides. You can move a field with your character, even diagonally, but then you must not hit. Striking is always done when a circle is passed through. You may then have an arbitrary long access and exit path (if no own or opposing stones stand in the way). The own stone is taken next to the beating stone statue and this then taken away. You can only drive through circles if you hit them afterwards. The game ends as soon as a player no longer owns any pieces.
